A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Segun Sowunmi, has said that there are only two credible people in the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The PDP stalwart, who made this assertion while speaking on a live programme monitored in Lagos Wednesday, noted that only president Muhammadu Buhari and his vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, are the credible people in the APC.

Sowunmi noted that the president’s track record as a man of integrity over the years, has stood him out as a great Nigerian, while he believes that the activities of Professor Osinbajo, in the law field, have earned him a good reputation.
He however, ignored other stalwarts of the APC, stating: “Tinubu and others are just jokers in the party. All they are doing is sheer hypocrisy.
“There was practically no country in 1999, but Olusegun Obasanjo stabilised the country and we finally brought telecommunication into the country.”

Continuing, he said: “You knew you were coming to power as the ruling party, why were you not ready? Nigeria is not an easy place to administer and we shall see if Nigerians can invest 16 years in them.
“I don’t know if they can effect the change that they have beeen talking about, but the question is how?”
On the issue rocking the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), the PDP member asked the new president to probe their activities and find out where they went wrong.
He said: “If the NNPC has done something untoward, why are they not being probed?”

While accusing the members of the party who decamped to the now ruling party, Sowunmi stated that they cannot be seen as progressives in any way.
He claimed that they were the worst members of the PDP, hence the reason they had to seek solace in another party.“We don’t know the policy direction of this state. A nation will move forward only when there are civil servants who are doing their jobs. We will empathise with them in the wake of the unpleasant incidents, and look at them with beautiful eyes.
“But they have to realise that governance is beyond just sitting down in Bourdillon in Lagos, sipping tea,” he added.
The PDP leadership had only yesterday, told the presidency that slashing their salaries is not the only way they can show Nigerians that they are responsibleleaders.
