Ambode, Jakande, Commends Council's Education Policy
Mr Akinwumi stated this while speaking at the presentation of the forms to students today, August 11, in Lagos. He urged the beneficiaries of the free GCE forms to show appreciation by performing very well in their examination.

“What we are witnessing today is part of the social responsibility of the government to ensure that life is comfortable for the people. i wish to use this opportunity to assure our people of our commitment to providing qualitative education at all levels to our children.
“It is therefore necessary to appeal to parents to secure the future of their children and themselves by not engaging them in street trading during school. This is against the provision of the Child Right Law of Lagos state.”
Also at the function, Lateef Jakande, the former governor of Lagos state said commend the council chair for building on the seed of education which he said was planted by him in the state. He further urged other council boss in the state to emulate the educational policy of Odiolowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area.
Speaking on the motive for giving out the GCE forms, the council boss, Rasak Olusola Ajala, said it is one of his many innovative programs for the council.

“It is the concern, commitment of our administration to the welfare of our people. We are very much conversant with the maxim that education is the best legacy you can bequeath to a soul but the unattended militating factors to achieve this undeniable fact left much to be desired.
“One major hindrance why many of our teeming youths’ have unflfilled dream is because of their inability to meet up with the financial demands of their exams. In this wise, we decided to assist these swarming youths of our great council to realize their potentials”
